Staff Sgt. Negev Dagan, 20, was killed by a mortar shell near the Litani River in southern Lebanon during cross-border fighting, the Israeli military said.
His death brought the number of Israeli soldiers killed since the current round of hostilities began to 19, and made him the sixth soldier killed since last month's cease-fire.
Violence has continued despite the truce: an explosive Hezbollah drone hit the Rosh Hanikra National Park parking lot on Thursday, wounding three civilians, one critically, without warning sirens.
