Take-Two rose about 6% in premarket trading after reports that a Best Buy affiliate email accidentally revealed May 18 as the preorder date for Grand Theft Auto 6.
That timing eased fears of another delay for the game, which is still scheduled to launch on Nov. 19 after 13 years in development.
Insider Gaming owner Tom Henderson said his outlet independently verified the Best Buy preorder leak as legitimate, though Take-Two declined to comment and Best Buy did not immediately respond.
The move adds to recent optimism around GTA 6 after Bank of America said earlier this month it expects an $80 price tag and some analysts projected more than 25 million day-one sales.
