Founded in Westlake in 1946 by Tom Koulax, Original Tommy’s has stayed largely regional, operating 32 restaurants in California and Nevada and refusing to franchise.
The celebration comes after recent strain on some stores, including the closure of the chain’s last San Diego location in 2023, even as the family-owned brand says it plans to keep expanding service.
