Build 26300.8493 in the Experimental channel expands Windows 11 testing with taskbar repositioning, a smaller taskbar and widget changes, while Beta gets Build 26220.8474.
Taskbar settings now let Insiders place it on the bottom, top, left or right, with tooltips, flyouts and key customization options still working across positions.
Widgets are being toned down: taskbar badges now match the Windows accent color instead of red, and low-engagement users may see badging reduced or turned off.
Windows Search is also being adjusted so local files and apps rank ahead of web suggestions when they are the stronger match.
