2,011 nits of peak HDR brightness on a 10% window made the new LG C6H a clear step up from last year’s C5, which measured 1,174 nits.
The gain comes from a four-stack OLED panel previously reserved for LG’s higher-end G series, now used only in the 77- and 83-inch C6H models rather than the smaller C6 sizes.
Picture quality stayed strong beyond brightness, with deep OLED blacks, 99.5% P3 color coverage, 1.6 DeltaE accuracy and gaming support across four HDMI 2.1 ports up to 165Hz.
Weak spots were mostly secondary: glossy-screen reflections, a slight green tint off-angle, some near-black streaking, and webOS and Magic Remote quirks that make daily use less polished.
At $3,699 for 77 inches and $5,299 for 83 inches, the C6H launches as a premium big-screen option, though discounted 2025 G5 sets may still offer better value for now.
The C6H offers breakthrough brightness, but do its screen reflections negate this advantage in the average home?
