ASUS Republic of Gamers introduced the ROG NUC 16, a compact 3-liter gaming PC built around Intel Core ARL-HX chips and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU.
128GB of DDR5-6400 memory, DLSS 4.5 support and up to 1,334 AI TOPS position the system for high-FPS gaming, local AI workloads and up to 8K creative tasks.
QuietFlow cooling uses three fans and a dual vapor chamber to expand CPU thermal coverage by 12%, cut SSD temperatures to 59C from 72C, and keep noise below 38 dBA under load.
A removable stand lets the PC sit vertically or horizontally, while Thunderbolt 4, GlideX and support for up to five 4K displays broaden its use beyond gaming.
Pricing disclosed in a later report starts at 29,999 yuan, with the black version due this month and a Moonlight White edition in June.
With AI devouring the world's memory supply, is this the end of affordable PC gaming?
Why pay thousands for new gaming hardware that offers such minimal performance gains?
