Paducah police took 20-year-old Rashodrick Harris into custody Thursday night, and the Mississippi suspect is awaiting extradition after the shooting of Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy.
Laurel investigators said security video identified Harris and a witness interview led to an arrest warrant in the Sunday shooting at an outdoor concert, where Hardy was hit in the upper leg and another person was injured.
Two aggravated assault charges are planned, while police said the investigation remains open and more arrests are possible; three other people of interest were released without charges.
Hardy underwent surgery, returned to Columbia on Wednesday and now faces an uncertain 2026 season after rushing for 1,649 yards and 16 touchdowns last year.
