Unanimous decision gave Samingdam NF Looksuan the bantamweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Friday Fights 154 in Bangkok, lifting his record to 48-9 and extending his ONE Friday Fights streak to six.
A right cross in round two produced an eight-count after a furious opening round in which both Thai fighters traded kicks, punches and elbows at close range.
Yodphupa Petkiatpet pressed hard in the third round and pinned Samingdam on the ropes at times, but Samingdam’s counters and repeated push kicks to the face blunted the comeback.
The three-round win closed an explosive Lumpinee Stadium card and set the stage for ONE Fight Night 43: Tang vs Gasanov, scheduled hours later in U.S. primetime.
