ICE Arrests Twice-Deported Felon Marvin Len Morales in Virginia Raid as DHS Blasts Sanctuary Policies

A 4 a.m. ICE operation in Manassas, Virginia, arrested Marvin Len Morales, whom DHS described as a three-time felon who had been deported twice before and returned to the U.S. again.
Markwayne Mullin said the case showed how Virginia policies limiting local-federal cooperation can leave repeat offenders in communities longer, arguing Morales could have been removed earlier after prior local encounters.
Mullin accused Gov. Abigail Spanberger and Virginia Democrats of discouraging law-enforcement cooperation and trying to end 287(g) partnerships that let local agencies work with federal immigration authorities.
The raid was Mullin's first ICE operation as DHS secretary, and he used it to underscore the Trump administration's push for more deportations with ICE's 22,000 officers and DHS's 80,000 personnel.
