iOS 26.4.1 Adds Per-Device Hotspot Tracking to iPhone and iPad

  • iOS 26.4.1 and newer now show Personal Hotspot data use by each connected device on iPhone and cellular iPad, letting users identify which Mac, iPad or other device is consuming bandwidth.
  • Settings > Personal Hotspot > Data Usage lists connected devices by name and their individual usage, a new view aimed at helping users avoid overages and carrier throttling.
  • Older hotspot consumption is not fully broken out: data used before installing iOS 26.4 or later appears only under a general “Other Devices” category.
  • The change targets a common pain point for users who rely on hotspot connections for work, backup internet or primary access, especially on plans that throttle speeds after usage caps.
