Trump Interrupts Fox Interview to Attack 1 CBS Reporter as Feud Over 60 Minutes Lingers

Fox News aired Trump breaking off a China-trade answer to call CBS correspondent Norah O’Donnell a “stupid” and “very average” reporter, showing he was still fixated on a 60 Minutes clash from April 26.
That clash erupted after O’Donnell read from a manifesto allegedly left by 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen, who is accused of trying to assassinate administration officials at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
Trump had already lashed out at O’Donnell again a week earlier in a Hugh Hewitt interview, while also downplaying China-related espionage and theft concerns in both the 60 Minutes and Hannity exchanges.
The outburst fits a broader pattern: in recent months Trump has insulted multiple female reporters from MSNBC, ABC, CNN, Bloomberg, Fox and The New York Times, often after pointed questions.
The White House has denied gender bias in those attacks, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt arguing Trump’s bluntness is simply part of his public style.
