That projection assumes early turbulence under first-time head coach Jesse Minter and a first-time offensive playcaller, with losses forecast against Dallas in Brazil, Tennessee and Cleveland by Week 6.
Baltimore is still picked to stack key wins over Buffalo, both Steelers games and a late home game against Cleveland, overcoming a 5-5 start to finish 6-1 over the final seven games.
The toughest projected setbacks come on short rest or against division rivals, including a Thursday loss to Jacksonville, a defensive battle at Houston and a New Year’s Eve defeat at Cincinnati.
At 11-6, the forecast suggests the Ravens remain among the NFL’s top teams, but not quite enough to clear one of the league’s highest preseason win totals.
