Broward County deputies arrested Kodak Black in Pompano Beach on Thursday and booked him into the main jail on fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement and resisting an officer without violence.
Jail records show the South Florida arrest marks the rapper’s second this month, with authorities not yet detailing the encounter that led to the new charges.
Last week, Black — whose legal name is Bill Kapri — pleaded not guilty to a felony MDMA trafficking charge tied to a November police encounter in Orlando.
That earlier case alleges officers found MDMA, $37,000 and documents bearing his name in a vehicle search, adding to a longer record of drug-related legal troubles and a previously commuted prison sentence.
How can Kodak Black's lawyer beat a drug charge when his ID was found with the contraband?
After a presidential commutation, will Kodak Black's long record finally trigger a mandatory prison sentence?
