Paul Finebaum said Lane Kiffin's comments about Ole Miss and Oxford diversity were deliberate, not accidental, and accused the LSU coach of trying to damage his former program before their Sept. 19 matchup.
Finebaum said Kiffin remains bitter that Ole Miss barred him from coaching its playoff run after he took the LSU job, arguing that resentment is driving his public attacks.
Kiffin later told On3 he still wishes he had been allowed to coach the team in the playoff and said Ole Miss might have "won it all," reinforcing the idea that he feels he missed a title chance.
Finebaum also mocked Texas coach Steve Sarkisian's suggestion that Ole Miss benefits from weaker academics, saying a coach making about $12 million knows players choose Texas football for money, not curriculum.
The dispute extends an offseason SEC feud centered on recruiting, NIL and school identity, with Kiffin's move from Ole Miss to LSU still fueling tensions months before the season.
