Nigeria's stock exchange will extend its trading hours from April 27 following the country's reinstatement into the FTSE Russell frontier-markets index.
The Nigerian Exchange Group will open at 9am instead of 9.30am and close at 4pm rather than 2.30pm, according to an official statement.
The move is expected to enhance market activity and follows FTSE Russell's decision to re-include Nigerian equities in its benchmark later this year.
