Summary
June 11-15 restrictions will shut or limit large parts of downtown Washington as the White House hosts a UFC fight Sunday, which also falls on President Donald Trump's birthday.
Thursday lockdowns begin with emergency no-parking zones near the White House, then expand Friday through Monday to Constitution Avenue, 17th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and other central corridors.
Friday's biggest disruptions include Arlington Memorial Bridge closing from 6 p.m. to midnight, plus closures around the Lincoln Memorial, Independence Avenue, Maine Avenue and westbound I-395 Exit 4B.
Saturday and Sunday closures widen again to the 12th Street Expressway/Tunnel, Potomac River Freeway exits, eastbound I-66 ramps and streets around Farragut Square, with some routes subject to intermittent shutdowns.
D.C. officials warned commuters near the White House and Lincoln Memorial to expect gridlock and urged travelers to use Metro as traffic plans remain subject to change.
