Anthropic Launches Claude Fable 5 on AWS, Requiring 30-Day Data Retention

Claude Fable 5 is now live on Amazon Bedrock in US East and Stockholm, and on Anthropic’s Claude Platform on AWS across North America, South America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The model brings Anthropic’s Mythos-level capabilities to broader AWS customers, with harmful cybersecurity, biology, chemistry and health prompts automatically routed to Opus 4.8 instead.
AWS users must opt into provider data sharing before invoking Fable 5 on Bedrock, allowing 30-day retention of inputs and outputs plus human review; Anthropic says that data then leaves AWS’s security boundary.
Access is expanding gradually across AWS accounts, while the unrestricted Claude Mythos 5 remains in limited preview for a small group of vetted customers because of higher misuse risks.
