Summary
Later this year, Nintendo will release a full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, confirming months of speculation with a brief Nintendo Direct trailer.
The footage showed no gameplay, but pointed to a top-to-bottom visual overhaul; Nintendo has not yet disclosed pricing, added content or a firmer launch date.
The remake revisits Zelda's first 3D entry, originally released on Nintendo 64 in 1998 and still widely regarded as one of the series' defining games.
Ocarina of Time has already appeared on 3DS, Wii, Wii U and Switch through Nintendo Switch Online, while any similar remake for Majora's Mask remains unannounced.
