Meta Rolls Out 7-Tab Navigator UI to All Quest Headsets After 1 Year of Testing

Meta has pushed its Horizon OS Navigator interface to all Quest headsets, replacing the long-standing menu system with a large overlay for Library, Quick Controls, Notifications and Camera.
The redesign stops core system panels from shifting around like ordinary 2D windows and makes app launching faster by opening straight to the app library.
The current 7-tab layout includes user switching, notifications, friends, app library, quick controls, window visibility and a passthrough/VR Home toggle; users can also rearrange app icons and create folders.
Navigator has been refined since testing began in May 2025: Meta dimmed the background instead of using a murky overlay, split out Horizon Worlds in October, then later removed that tab as Worlds moved away from VR.
Quest headsets now also boot directly into an app grid instead of Horizon Feed, though some system-level features still open as legacy 2D windows rather than fully inside the new overlay.
