Diana Butsch argued in a letter that claims of rigged elections are undercut by Donald Trump’s two presidential wins and Republicans’ current control of both the House and Senate.
The letter says the failed SAVE Act was driven by allegations that Democrats cheated and that illegal immigrants and hundreds of dead people voted.
Butsch cited Heritage Foundation data putting illegal votes at less than 0.00028%, saying that level was far too small to change election outcomes.
She challenged supporters of the fraud claims to produce evidence and said any proven cheating should justify a "do over" election.
