A 31-foot jumper from Caitlin Clark with seconds left gave Indiana a 78-76 road win over Washington and pushed the Fever back above .500 at 6-5.
Clark finished with 19 points, five assists and a steal on 7-of-16 shooting, a needed rebound after a four-game stretch in which she had failed to score 20 points.
Her night also included a third-quarter four-point play from 25 feet, helping Indiana build a lead before the Mystics erased it and briefly went ahead 76-75 late.
The finish steadied a Fever team that had dropped to 5-5 after Saturday's loss to New York, with Chicago up next on Thursday.
