A Princess Diana archive including a newly surfaced 1981 letter, photos, a birthday card and a 1997 memorial program is being sold by school friend Katherine Hanbury through Gorringe’s Fine Art & Interiors.
The key item is a September 1981 letter written two months after Diana’s wedding to Charles, in which the 20-year-old described a “blissful honeymoon” and said married life after two months felt “wonderful.”
The lot also includes school-era photographs from West Heath Girls’ School in Kent, with classmates including Tilda Swinton and Joanna Hogg, plus the letter’s original envelope.
Gorringe’s values the group at £4,000-£6,000, pitching it as a rare view of Diana before royal duty and global fame reshaped her public life.
