Apple Expands iOS 27 With ChatGPT-Style Siri and AirPlay Rival Support

Apple is preparing a broader iOS 27 push that goes beyond interface tweaks, adding a ChatGPT-style Siri app, stronger Genmoji and image generation tools, and native support for non-AirPlay casting standards.
The software changes come as Apple tries to refresh products facing stiffer competition, with the report saying the Apple Watch needs a shake-up as health wearables shift toward rivals such as Whoop, Oura and Google Fitbit.
AirPods are also due for an overhaul: Apple plans to redesign the control panel after years of added features left settings cluttered across iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Earlier reporting said the new Siri app in iOS 27 would include auto-deleting chats, signaling Apple is building a more full-featured AI assistant rather than a simple voice upgrade.
