Bell Canada said it had restored internet service to 11 of about 20 affected Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, customers by Saturday night, with the rest due back Sunday after an outage that began May 14.
Cables were pulled from a local connection point, damaging network infrastructure and leaving customers on Jeffrey Street offline for 10 days despite repeated repair promises.
The Bridgetown Legion was still without service Sunday morning, unable to run debit machines, televisions or video lottery terminals and warning it was losing money and customers.
Residents said the outage also blocked basic tasks such as online banking, underscoring how a disruption affecting only about 20 customers still cut off what they called an essential service.
