Huawei-JAC Unveils $300,000 Maextro S800 Grand Design Ahead of June Debut

Maextro released the first official images of the S800 Grand Design, a custom flagship sedan expected to go on public display in June and likely sold in China as the S800 Collector's Edition.
The top-spec model is rumored to cost $200,000 to $300,000, pushing the Huawei-JAC luxury sedan further upmarket with a four-seat cabin, two-tone bodywork and extensive gold exterior trim.
At 5,480 mm long with a 3,370 mm wheelbase, the full-size sedan carries roof-mounted 896-line LiDAR and B-pillar cameras, pointing to Huawei's latest Qiankun ADS 5.0 driver-assistance system.
Powertrain options include an EREV with a 1.5T range extender, triple motors and 276 km WLTC electric range, plus a BEV using Huawei dual motors.
The Grand Design arrives after the broader S800 line gained traction in China's ultra-premium segment, with monthly sales peaking at 4,223 units in December after its launch last August.
