1,142 Maextro S800 sedans were delivered in China in April, making it the country’s best-selling model priced above 700,000 yuan.
That put the Huawei-JAC model ahead of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class at 736 units, the Porsche Panamera at 616, the Mercedes S-Class at 521, and the BMW 7-Series/i7 at 436.
5,465 S800s were sold from January through April, extending its lead over the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class at 3,012 and the BMW 7-Series/i7 at 2,976.
Chinese buyers are increasingly shifting to domestic luxury brands, with the S800’s all-electric and range-extender lineup priced from 708,000 yuan to 1.018 million yuan.
