Sony has released the Reon Pocket Pro Plus at £199, keeping the prior model’s launch price while upgrading its wearable neck air conditioner for hotter-weather use.
Up to 20% more cooling power is the headline change, driven by a new cooling algorithm and redesigned thermal system; in Smart Cool mode, Sony says the plate can run 2C colder than before.
A redesigned neckband raises holding force by about 40%, aiming to keep the cooling plate pressed against the neck more securely while moving.
Adjustable exhaust vents now change angle and length to improve heat dissipation and make the device easier to wear under different shirt collars.
Sony also introduced the Reon Pocket Tag 2 environmental sensor, 18% smaller than the previous version and able to clip onto bags or belts.
