Ashleigh Stanley, 29, married Jake Stanley at Llanerch Vineyard wearing a white dressing gown, slippers and hair rollers in a stripped-back legal ceremony before a larger celebration.
A 150-guest wedding plan changed after the couple were told Calon Lân — a hymn loved by her late gran — could not be used in a civil ceremony.
That led them to split the day in two: an intimate 10 a.m. legal service in casual clothes, followed by a celebrant ceremony where Stanley wore a formal off-the-shoulder gown.
Stanley said the relaxed look reflected real married life after 13 years together, and the legal service lasted about 10 minutes, giving guests more time to celebrate.
The date also carried family meaning: the couple wed on what would have been her gran's 100th birthday, with venue staff saying it was their first dressing-gown wedding.
