Brandi Glanville said on her May 21 podcast that she thinks she may have contracted what she called “sexually transmitted ringworm” in her throat.
The 53-year-old said she linked the suspected infection to oral sex with an unnamed man “in that industry,” adding she only learned about ringworm from a friend the day before.
Glanville said multiple throat STD tests had already come back negative, leaving her searching for another explanation for her symptoms.
Ringworm is a fungal infection affecting skin, hair or nails, according to the CDC, and can spread through skin-to-skin contact, including sexual contact.
The claim adds to Glanville’s long-running health concerns, after she previously said she had suffered facial disfigurement that she blamed on a parasite.
