Eight dissimilar bombers and fighters flew in formation over the Hyundai Air & Sea Show in Miami Beach, marking what organizers called a historic first for a civilian air show.
Led by a B-52H, the formation paired long-range strike aircraft with frontline fighters from active-duty, reserve and Air National Guard units to honor fallen service members during Memorial Day events.
The lineup included a B-1B, A-10, F-22, F-35, F/A-18 and two F-16s, putting U.S. long-range strike capability on public display at a time when the B-52 has been used in the war with Iran.
Thousands attended the South Florida event, which also featured parachute demonstrations, a military static display village and an enlistment ceremony for more than 150 new U.S. armed forces members.
